Killer Positioning Lesson: “Uber with Guns”

Why This Matters: There’s a new premium ride service that offers personal protection and the feeling that the Secret Service is taking you wherever you’re headed. How is that a great business lesson? This product gives someone a ride to the airport with about 100x the price tag. The ideal customer is someone who needs to go someplace and they don’t feel safe. With your product, how could you tweak the core product to explode the value (and price tag) for a very specific use case?

Some ideas that come to mind: Photography headshot “experience” with clothes designer, hair and make up stylist, exotic travel location to a beach - a full weekend celebrity experience. Or, a wealth management onboarding that picks you up in a limo, flies you on a private jet to a mountain chalet and includes a private shopper, chef, fine wine and more. The Summary: if you provide value - the high end of the market EXISTS. How can you capture it?
